Data Storage is in encrypted form in a private cloud with no access to any third-party except the user. The encrypted data will be stored in the region chosen by the user in the state-of-the-art Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.

The administrator can activate the share security in the common folders of the Virtual Data Room to restrict the users to view-only common folders. This allows multiple users to work on the same system without compromising confidentiality.

DCirrus secures files in transit and stores in database with 256-bit encryption using industry-standard encryption protocols.

Users can choose to automatically delete files a certain number of days after upload to support retention preferences and policies.

The user can only login to the system after his device has been approved by the administrator, which allows the system to deny unauthorized logins from different machines. The administrator controls all users through his own device.

Administrators/Users can remotely lock and wipe DCirrus data from a lost or stolen device.

Clients may set up a multi-factor (or strong) authentication process that requires submission of the account password and a secondary authentication such as Google Authenticator or SMS/ text message in order to access the account. DCirrus supports various two-factor and two-step authentication methods including forms and token-based authentication as well as SMS, voice and backup codes.
